There’s one thing I know for certain…… I was born an artist! Living life to the beat of my own drum. My photography career started about 28 years ago. Yikes! I can’t believe it’s been that long. As a young Mom, working as a waitress to help pay the mortgage, my life was definitely missing something. That something was art. We had lived in the city before moving to Petaluma. San Francisco had always given me opportunities to express myself as an artist. Petaluma was a great place to raise kids, but at that time, a bit of a hick town. After a couple years, I did some soul searching and decided on photography as an artistic outlet. I studied with some amazing photographers such as Barbara Bordnick of Harper’s Bazaar magazine, Joyce Wilson and Douglas Kirkland who’s photography career includes iconic images of  Marilyn Monroe, Coco Chanel, Audrey Hepburn, John Lennon and so many more.

A trip to Paris last year, where I visited the Louvre, was eye opening and gave me a new appreciation for the masters. I look for inspiration everywhere and try to keep my work and style fresh.
